POLAND

A nice cover from Poland, depicting 2 nice stamps on topic "Capital cities of the European Union". The two capitals are Athens (Greece) and Prague (Czech Republic).
Both cities are at UNESCO as World Heritage places.
The Acropolis in Athens and its monuments are universal symbols of the classical spirit and civilization and form the greatest architectural and artistic complex bequeathed by Greek Antiquity to the world. In the second half of the fifht century b.C., Athens took a leading position amongst the other city-states of the ancient world. The most important monuments were built during that time.
