MONGOLIA

I'm really happy to receive my first cover from Mongolia and to have another country in my collection. There are three nice stamps affixed on it, two of them (from a set of 4 issued in 1998) showing the "Gobi bear" (Ursus arctos gobiensis), a subspecies of the Brown bear, that is found in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia. It is listed as critically endangered.

The other stamp celebrates Marilyn Monroe.
The cover was posted in Ulaanbaatar, capital and the largest city in Mongolia.
