Friedenstein Palace is an early Baroque palace built in the mid-17th century by Ernest I, Duke of Saxe-Gotha. It was one of the largest palaces of its time and one of the first Baroque palaces ever built.

Another amazing UNESCO cover from Brazil, celebrating it's beautiful capital, Brasilia on a set of 10 stamps issued in 2017.
Brasilia, a capital created ex nihilo in the centre of the country in 1956, was a landmark in the history of town planning. Urban planner Lucio Costa and architect Oscar Niemeyer intended that every elemento - from the layout of the residential and administrative districts (often compared to the shape pf a bird in flight) to the symmetry of the buildings themselves - should be in harmony with the city's overall design. The official buildings, in particular, are innovative and imaginative. The city is inscribed as an UNESCO site since 1987.

Gastronomy is anchored in the city's life and the sector plays an importante role in the local economy by employing about 43,000 people.

Inscribed in 2012 on the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of Humanity, Horezu ceramics are a unique traditional craft of the northern part of Valcea County and they reflect generations of knowledge and craftsmanship.
